US Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 11-
Made by Serif

The Coast Guard’s philosophy is to be SEMPER PARATUS (ALWAYS READY) against all threats and all hazards. The Coast Guard Auxiliary is an integral part of that philosophy and the Coast Guard Team.
We conduct safety patrols on Lake Tahoe, assist the Coast Guard with official duties, teach boating safety classes, conduct free vessel safety checks for the public, as well as many other activities. Once you are an Auxiliarist you are eligible to take many advanced classes in boating such as Advanced Coastal Navigation, Seamanship, Communications, Weather, Search and Rescue and Patrols.
The Coast Guard expects a higher level of proficiency from us and our educational activities have greatly increased. In return, we are receiving training and the opportunity to work with the Coast Guard. They also provide us with state of the art gear required for our duties, unlike other boating organizations.
Applicants must be U.S. citizens, at least 17 years old, and pass a basic background check. There are no upper age limits or height/weight standards, although for operational activities, you must be physically able to perform certain tasks. Dedicated Auxiliary volunteers determine their own level of commitment in coordination with elected leaders and the Auxiliary Mission.
The Coast Guard Auxiliary and the Coast Guard provide specialized training for Auxiliary members on all aspects of boating, as well as leadership and administration. Auxiliarists receive valuable training in boat handling, navigation, communications, rescue operations, and related skills. This valuable training will give you the sense of confidence of knowing that you are a better and safer boater.
Furthermore, the Auxiliary supports its members through local unit meetings, regional conferences and enjoys heartfelt fellowship among its members. Dedication to boating safety provides a pleasant atmosphere for sharing boating experiences and participating in cruises and rendezvous. We enjoy the good company of other Auxiliarists at meetings and training sessions, on patrols and other missions, and at ceremonies and social events. Friends, neighbors and interested members of the public are always welcome to attend our flotilla meetings.
Finally, you do not have to own a boat or participate in water-
